Environmental Responsibility

IES is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of the Congress. Here’s how we are reducing our footprint, and how attendees can help:

What IES Is Doing

•    Using a paperless mobile app for the Congress program, with an opt-in option for a printed version.
•    Hosting the Congress at a sustainable venue.
•    Eliminating single-use plastics for catering by using refillable water stations and eco-friendly alternatives for water bottles and other items.

Congress Venue’s (Le Corum) Sustainability Efforts

•    100% of electricity comes from green energy.
•    Heat network powered by renewable sources.
•    LED lighting and energy-efficient equipment.
•    Waste sorting, food donations, and eco-friendly catering with fair trade coffee and recyclable cups.
•    ISO 20121 certification process for sustainable event management.

Radisson Blu Montpellier Sustainability Efforts

•    Awarded the Clef Verte label for sustainable tourism.
•    Uses the Green Engage system for environmental impact management.

How You Can Help

•    Energy: Turn off devices, lights, and AC when not in use.
•    Water: Use water mindfully by turning it off while brushing your teeth.
•    Waste: Use recycling stations and avoid single-use plastics.
•    Travel: Opt for low-carbon or non-flight travel, public transport, and bring reusable items like a coffee mug or water bottle.
